Sukkur Central Jail & Shikarpur Jail Superintendents transferred

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) In an administrative reshuffle, Sukkur Central Jail Superintendent Irshad Rind has been removed from his position and directed to report to Karachi.

Meanwhile, Shikarpur Jail Superintendent Imtiaz Soomro has been transferred and appointed as the new Superintendent of Sukkur Central Jail. Additionally, Zulfiqar Ali Agha has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Shikarpur Jail.

A formal notification has been issued in this regard.

According to the notification, the transfers are part of routine administrative changes aimed at improving management and efficiency within the prison department.

Authorities have not disclosed specific reasons for the reshuffle, but such transfers are common in maintaining effective administration.

The newly appointed superintendents are expected to take charge of their respective positions shortly, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to prison regulations.
