Substandard edibles perished, defaulters, illicit profiteers warned of punitive action in Mirpur-AJK

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 13th Mar, 2026) Implementing the orders of the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and the suvsequent instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Raja Muhammad Sadaqat Khan, the Revenue Officer Mirpur Raja Ayaz Ahmed Khan Friday conducted surprise inspection oglf the price control in Chichiyan Bazaar.

During the inspection, he checked the quality and prices of food items. He directed the shopkeepers to sell the items as per the fixed rates, official sources told APP here.

The inspection team perished the expired items found on the spot for not following the set health SOPs.

The magistraterial team warned of the stringent punitive action against the violators without any mercy in the future, it was officially stated.
