Strict SOPs enforced in theaters on Eid-ul-Fitr

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The district administration has enforced strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stage dramas in all theaters across the city during Eid-ul-Fitr to improve the quality of performances and prevent objectionable content.

In this connection, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Fazal Abbas reviewed the arrangements for stage dramas and discussed measures to enforce the government’s guidelines.

Deputy Director Arts Council Imran Raza briefed the participants about the SOPs issued for theaters and said that strict compliance would help improve the standard of dramas while discouraging immoral and inappropriate elements.

The meeting was held in the light of the directives of Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Azma Bukhari, Secretary Information & Culture Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani and Executive Director Punjab Arts Council Mehboob Alam Chaudhry.

Theater owners, producers and directors from various theaters of Faisalabad attended the meeting and assured full cooperation with the administration.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) made it clear that strict action would be taken in case of any violation of the SOPs as no obscenity or inappropriate content would be tolerated in stage dramas.

The district administration would continue to monitor theaters during Eid-ul-Fitr and take legal action against those found violating the government’s guidelines, he warned.
