RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir has directed all allied departments to strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy against dengue and maintain an active, coordinated presence in the field.
He issued these directives while chairing a meeting of the District Emergency and Response Committee for Anti-Dengue.
The committee reviewed anti-dengue activities across the district, including indoor and outdoor surveillance, hot-spot monitoring, larva elimination, sanitation conditions, awareness campaigns, and inter-departmental performance. Relevant officers briefed the chair on their respective departmental actions and future strategies.
Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir instructed departments to ensure full implementation of anti-dengue SOPs and accelerate daily field operations.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He emphasized that the timely elimination of potential breeding sites, continuous monitoring of sensitive locations, and effective inter-departmental coordination are indispensable to curbing the spread of dengue.
He further urged that public awareness campaigns be intensified to encourage citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes and offices and prevent water stagnation. Warning against negligence, the Deputy Commissioner stated that all activities must be regularly monitored and strict action taken against any lapse in duty.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQs) Abdul Rahman Khan, the Chief Executive Officer of Health, and representative officers from the district administration, health and other departments.
