Strict checking process underway at city's entry, exit routes: DIG Operations

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has said that effective patrolling has been increased to maintain law and order, strict checking is underway at city's entry and exit routes.

Security has been put on high alert on the instructions of DIG Operations. SSP Operations is supervising security arrangements at Tauqir Naeem Field.

According to DIG Operations, special police forces are deployed at important and sensitive places for security, blockades and search operations are underway in different areas. He said that effective police patrolling has been increased to maintain law and order.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that strict checking is underway at the entry and exit points of the city. All SHOs are present in the field with police personnel.

It should be noted that the police continued the strict checking process by putting security on high alert at all the entry and exit points of the city. The police mobile squad has arrested a total of 97 accused in various operations against criminal elements in the last 72 hours.

According to the police spokesperson, the arrested accused include 16 declared criminals, 6 court fugitives and 7 habitual accused. The accused were identified and arrested with the help of the e-police app during the checking.

In addition, the police checked the records of more than 27,816 people through the e-police app, while 3,388 vehicles and motorcycles were also checked at the entrances and exits of the city.
