HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) An important meeting of the District Coordination Committee for the Apex Committee was held under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Haleem Jagirani in his office on Wednesday.
The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in the district and made several important decisions. These included ensuring the security of Chinese engineers, foreign experts and their workplaces associated with CPEC and non-CPEC projects, registering madaris, ensuring the sale of petroleum products at officially notified prices, taking action against petrol pumps involved in illegal practices, substandard fuel sales or short measurement, monitoring the prices of commodities and other food items.
It also included action against profiteers involved in price hiking, removing encroachments from grazing lands, government land, major intersections and roads in urban areas, curbing narcotics and other intoxicating substances, taking action against non-custom-paid vehicles, illegal cigarettes and other prohibited goods, conducting regular inspections of brick kilns and identifying foreign or unregistered workers for legal action, taking daily action against traffic violations, overloading and overcharging of transport fares and launching strict action against electricity theft, professional beggars, child labor and human trafficking.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner Jagirani said that the purpose of the meeting was to ensure effective and immediate implementation of the decisions made by Apex Committees at the provincial and district levels. He directed all assistant commissioners of the district to ensure the implementation of the decisions taken during the meeting within their respective jurisdictions.
He further instructed that warehouses of traders should be inspected, complete details of available stock should be obtained and reports on actions taken so far should also be submitted.
During the meeting, officers of all relevant departments presented detailed briefings regarding the actions and measures taken by their concerned departments.
