Street crime incidents reduced by 75pc in Lahore

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) Due to the good management of Punjab Police, and after the evacuation of Afghan residents, street crime incidents in Lahore decreased by 75 per cent, police sources said.

According to police records, 100 cases of street crime were registered in different police stations during the month of January this year, 32 incidents of street crime were reported in Sadar Division, 30 in Cantt Division, 15 incidents of street crime were reported in City Division.

Likewise, four cases of street crime were registered in Model Town Division, 9 cases of street crime were registered in Iqbal Town Division.

It is worth mentioning here that during the month of January 2025, 418 incidents of street crime were reported in Lahore.
