Step afoot to improve flow of traffic: SP Traffic

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Sariab Traffic Quetta, Yawar Abbas on Thursday said that the traffic police were working day and night to provide service, convenience and safe travel environment to the public.

He said that efforts were being taken to solve the growing traffic problems in the Sariab area and improve the traffic flow.

The SP said that Sariab was an densely populated area where citizens faced difficulties due to traffic problems, however, the traffic police was performing its responsibilities with full responsibility and duty to improve the situation.

SP Traffic Yawar Abbas said that traffic police personnel were present on various highways, important squares and busy places to maintain traffic flow, while action was also being taken against those who violate traffic rules as per the law.

He urged the citizens to obey traffic rules, use helmets while riding motorcycles, keep vehicle documents complete along with driving licenses and take precautionary measures while traveling.

He said that improving the traffic system was not only the responsibility of the police but also the joint responsibility of the citizens.

SP Sariab Traffic further said that instructions have been issued to the concerned officers and officials for identifying the traffic problems being faced by the public and for their immediate resolution.

He expressed his determination that providing maximum convenience to the citizens was the top priority of the traffic police and all available resources would be utilized to further improve the traffic system in different areas of Quetta including Sariab.
