SSP Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi assumes charge as CTO Lahore

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) SSP Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi has assumed charge as Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore,here on Saturday.

Upon his arrival at the CTO office, a smartly turned-out contingent of City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) presented him a guard of honour.

After taking charge, CTO Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of CTPL, acknowledging their sacrifices and services.

Belonging to the 36th Common, Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi joined the Police Service of Pakistan as an ASP in 2009. He was awarded the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal in 2021 in recognition of his professional excellence.

During his career,he has served in key positions including ASP Sukkur, SP CRO, SP CIA, SSP East Karachi, and SSP District Larkana.

He also remained posted at the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore as AIG Welfare Punjab and AIG Information Technology.

He further performed duties as SSP Investigation South Karachi, SSP CIA, AVLC, and AVCC, demonstrating extensive experience in operations and investigations.

Prior to his appointment as CTO Lahore, he was serving as District Police Officer (DPO) Mandi Bahauddin.

On the occasion, CTO Lahore said that ensuring safe travel for citizens and maintaining smooth traffic flow would be among his top priorities.

He emphasized that all traffic staff would adopt courteous behavior towards road users, adding that a zero-tolerance policy against corruption would be strictly enforced.
