SSP Qazi leads flag march to reinforce Muharram security in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a flag march in the City Zone under the leadership of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza to reinforce security measures and ensure a peaceful environment during Muharram-ul-Haram.

An official told APP on Sunday that the flag march was organized as part of Islamabad Police's efforts to maintain law and order and enhance the sense of security among citizens during the holy month.

The official said police officers and personnel participated in the march, which passed through various areas of the City Zone to demonstrate the force's operational readiness and commitment to public safety.

According to the official, the objective of the flag march was to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during Muharram-ul-Haram and reassure citizens regarding the security arrangements in place across the Federal capital.

The official said comprehensive security measures had been adopted to safeguard religious gatherings, processions and public places during the month.

SSP Qazi said Islamabad Police remained fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring the maintenance of law and order.

He said operations against criminal elements were continuing without interruption and that all available resources were being utilized to prevent crime and strengthen security.

The SSP said protection of citizens and maintenance of peace remained the foremost priority of Islamabad Police during Muharram-ul-Haram and beyond.
