SSP Patrolling conducts surprise inspection of PHP posts, orders high alert and zero negligence

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patrolling Mirza Anjum Kamal carried out surprise inspections of various posts of Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) police and directed the officials to maintain high state of alert in addition to ensuring foolproof security arrangements in view of prevailing security concerns.

During inspection drive, the SSP Patrolling visited PHP Post Shaheed Rafaqat Ali, Shaheed ASI Imran Liaqat Post and Shaheed Muhammad Ishaq Post where he reviewed operational preparedness, security protocols and overall discipline of the personnel on duty.

He closely examined security arrangements at each post including deployment patterns, monitoring mechanisms and emergency response readiness.

Keeping in view potential security threats, he also assessed a mock exercise conducted to evaluate the preparedness of personnel in case of any untoward incident. He reviewed response time, coordination among PHP staff and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the drill.

He inspected security gadgets, official weapons and pickets established around the posts to ensure that all equipment was functional and readily accessible.

He directed the PHP staff to maintain their arms and communication devices in perfect working condition as constant vigilance is imperative for effective patrolling operations.

Expressing satisfaction over alert performance of the PHP staff at Shaheed ASI Imran Liaqat Post, he appreciated the Incharge Post and Moharrir for maintaining high standards of duty and discipline.

He encouraged other posts to follow the same level of commitment and operational readiness.

Addressing the PHP personnel, the SSP Patrolling made it clear that patrolling security must remain on high alert at all times and negligence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He instructed that security of all posts must be made completely foolproof particularly during sensitive times.

He further directed that all on-duty personnel must remain fully armed and equipped with bulletproof helmets and jackets to ensure their personal safety while performing duties. Adherence to safety protocols is non-negotiable and essential for effective policing, he added.

He also issued instructions to District Patrol Officers (DPOs) to conduct regular surprise inspections of patrolling posts under their jurisdiction to ensure continuous monitoring and accountability.

Strict supervision and proactive field presence are key to maintain law & order in addition to enhancing public confidence in the patrolling police, he added.
