SSP Operations inspects Imambargahs, reviews Muharram security arrangements

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) SSP Operations Faisalabad Imran Ahmed Malik visited major Imambargahs in the city to review Muharram-ul-Haram security arrangements and directed police officers to maintain maximum vigilance to ensure foolproof security for mourners, religious gatherings and processions.

During his visit to the Central Imambargah and Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool, the SSP Operations conducted a detailed inspection of security measures put in place for majalis and mourning processions.

He reviewed deployment plans and assessed the preparedness of police personnel assigned to Muharram duties.

He examined entry and exit points, walkthrough gates, searching points and other security arrangements established at the religious venues.

He also inspected the functioning of surveillance systems and directed officers to further strengthen CCTV monitoring and overall security coverage to effectively respond to any potential threat.

Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Operations said the protection of the lives and property of mourners remained the foremost priority of Faisalabad Police during Muharram-ul-Haram.

He stressed that all available resources were being utilized to maintain a peaceful environment and facilitate the safe conduct of religious activities across the district.

He instructed officers and personnel to remain alert at all times and perform their duties with dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility.

He warned that negligence or carelessness in security duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that strict action would be taken against those found lacking in their responsibilities.

He said that special monitoring of sensitive locations and procession routes was continuing as part of the comprehensive security plan devised for Muharram.

He said that law enforcement agencies were maintaining close surveillance of suspicious activities and anti-social elements to prevent any attempt to disturb peace and order.

He further emphasized the importance of coordination among police units, organizers of religious events and other relevant departments to ensure effective implementation of security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Officials accompanying the SSP briefed him on the security arrangements, deployment strength and contingency measures adopted for Muharram.

He expressed satisfaction over the preparations while directing police officers to maintain strict vigilance and ensure that all security protocols were implemented in letter and spirit.
