SSP investigation Tariq Butt chairs meeting to review case progress

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing investigations, attended by zonal SPs and investigation officers.

An official told APP on Sunday that the SSP Tariq Butt directed all officers to complete investigations on merit and with full transparency, ensuring that cases are finalized promptly and challans submitted to the competent courts without delay.

He said the SSP Tariq Butt emphasized strict legal action against those involved in serious crimes, stressing that professional and evidence-based investigations remain essential for effective crime control.

The official said the meeting focused on improving investigation standards, timely disposal of cases, and strengthening coordination among officers.
