NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, announced the establishment of a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) in Nawabshah during his visit to the Nawabshah Press Club, where he held a detailed meeting with journalists regarding law and order, emergency preparedness, and improvement of civic facilities. Speaking on the occasion, SSP said that QRF has been set up to provide an effective response across the district.
He explained that 50 personnel will perform duties during the morning shift and another 50 during the night shift. Additionally, a separate unit comprising 25 personnel would remain on standby as a firepower team, ready to respond promptly to any emergency situation. SSP urged citizens to cooperate with rescue agencies during accidents or emergencies instead of gathering as spectators, emphasizing that crowds often create difficulties for rescue operations and delay timely assistance.
SSP stressed the importance of public awareness in this regard and called on people to act responsibly by ensuring clear routes for ambulances and rescue teams.
SSP also advised citizens to avoid obstructing rescue services and to follow government directives related to smart lockdown to prevent strict enforcement measures by police.He informed that efforts are underway to make the Madadgar 15 service more effective, while coordination with Rescue 1122 is also being strengthened to improve emergency response services. Regarding traffic issues, SSP said that practical measures are being implemented to manage traffic flow in the city.
He added that plans are being considered to relocate bus terminals outside the city to address public complaints and reduce congestion.
He also expressed commitment to addressing encroachments in coordination with relevant departments, stating that steps are being taken for a permanent solution to the issue. Concluding his remarks, SSP Sameer Noor Channa acknowledged the trust gap between the police and the public and said that concrete measures would be taken to bridge this gap and promote better coordination between citizens and law enforcement authorities.
