Sr MO suspended over negligence at DG Khan Hospital

The Health Department has suspended Senior Medical Officer (MO) Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim with immediate effect over charges of incompetence and negligence at Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The Health Department has suspended Senior Medical Officer (MO) Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim with immediate effect over charges of incompetence and negligence at Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the action has been taken under Section 6 of the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006. Following the suspension, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.

The suspended officer has been directed to report to the Specialized Healthcare and Medical education Department immediately. A formal notification has also been issued in this regard.
