Specialized bomb disposal training held for Tank police

TANK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan, a specialized training seminar was organized for police personnel here at the DRC Hall, Police Office Tank.

The session was conducted by Incharge Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) Sami Ullah Khan, along with expert instructors which focused on enhancing the operational readiness of police officials in dealing with modern security threats.

During the training, the participants were briefed on identifying and responding to emerging dangers, including explosive devices dropped via quadcopter drones, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), hand grenades, and other hazardous materials.

Detailed guidance was provided on safe disposal techniques and precautionary measures to ensure the protection of lives and property during emergency situations.

Addressing the participants, DPO Abdul Samad Khan appreciated the professionalism and skills of the personnel and emphasized the importance of continuous training.

He stated that such sessions would continue until police officials across the district are fully equipped to effectively counter evolving security challenges.

The DPO also commended the efforts and professional expertise of the BDU incharge and the instructors for conducting the comprehensive training session.
