FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) Religious congregations and special worship gatherings would be organised across Faisalabad on the 27th night of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, widely regarded by many believers as the possible Laylatul Qadr, as thousands of worshippers prepare to observe the sacred night with deep devotion, spiritual reflection and extended prayers.

The mosques throughout the city have completed arrangements for Shab Bedari (night-long worship), recitation of the Holy Qur’an, Salat-ul-Tasbeeh and various other forms of voluntary prayers while colorful lights and decorative illuminations are also being installed at many places of worship to mark significance of the blessed night.

According to religious scholars, the 27th night of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak—falling between the nights of March 16 and March 17—holds special spiritual importance among Muslims who consider it one of the most likely nights for the occurrence of Laylatul Qadr during the final ten days of the holy month.

On this occasion, the believers intensify their prayers, recitations and remembrance of Allah in the hope of attaining divine mercy and forgiveness.

Large congregations are expected in major mosques of Faisalabad where arrangements have been finalized for collective recitation of the Holy Qur’an, special sessions of Zikr, Hamd & Naat, as well as gatherings dedicated to sending salutations upon the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

The religious scholars and preachers would also deliver sermons highlighting significance, virtues and blessings of the sacred night.

The Ulema explained that Laylatul Qadr is one of the most blessed nights of the Islamic Calendar and occurs in one of the odd nights during the last Ashra of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.

The Holy Qur’an describes it as a night “better than a thousand months”, signifying the immense spiritual rewards associated with sincere worship during this period.

The scholars further emphasize that it was during this sacred night that the Holy Qur’an was first revealed to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), making it a night of extraordinary historical and spiritual significance for the Muslim Ummah.

On this occasion, the mosques and religious institutions across Faisalabad are organizing collective recitations of the Qur’an, where large gatherings would witness the completion of the Holy Qur’an in special Taraweeh and night prayers.

The worshippers are expected to spend the entire night from Isha prayers until Sehri in voluntary prayers, recitation of the Holy Qur’an and remembrance of Allah Almighty.

The religious leaders have urged the Muslims to utilize the opportunity of the sacred night by seeking forgiveness, strengthening their faith and praying for the welfare of humanity.

In addition to congregational prayers in mosques, many families also arrange special worship gatherings at home where members engage in recitation of the Qur’an, supplications and remembrance of Allah throughout the night.

Special prayers would also be offered for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan as well as for unity and harmony among the Muslim Ummah.

The district administration and law enforcement agencies have also been asked to ensure appropriate arrangements to facilitate worshippers visiting mosques during the late hours of the night as large numbers of people traditionally participate in night-long prayers on the occasion.
