MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) A team has been directed to submit a fact-finding report into allegations of police violence against women from the Solangi community in Umerkot, following orders from the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Sindh for Human Rights.
According to an official handout, the directive was issued by Special Assistant Rajveer Singh Sodho.
Deputy Director Human Rights Mirpurkhas Muiz Hussain Thebo, accompanied by Assistant Director Law Irfan Hikmat Shar, visited Umerkot to investigate the incident, which involved alleged police torture of women belonging to the Solangi community, the handout added.
During the visit, the team met the affected women, local administration officials and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Umerkot to gather information for a comprehensive report.
