The meeting was attended by all Assistant Commissioners and officers of the relevant departments, including Food, Livestock and Halal food Authority.

He informed that price monitoring desks would be established in all major bazaars to address public complaints on the spot.

Special mobile teams have also been formed to check adulteration in milk, while strict monitoring of the early morning auction process at the vegetable market would be ensured.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that Ramazan Dastarkhwan arrangements would be set up in Tehsil Dera, Paharpur and Prova to provide Iftar and Sehri to fasting individuals.

In addition, Dastarkhwans would be arranged at inter-provincial routes, including Dera Darya Khan Bridge, Aman Mela Darazinda, Prova and Chashma, to facilitate travellers.

He reiterated that the measures were being implemented in line with the public-friendly policy of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure that essential commodities remain available at fixed prices during the holy month and that hoarding and profiteering would not be tolerated.

The district administration, he added, would utilize all available resources to maintain price control and provide relief to the public during Ramazan.
