Speakers Express Solidarity With Armed Forces at ‘Marka-e-Haq’ Event in Attock

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) A dignified and spirited ceremony titled “Marka-e-Haq” was organised by the Attock Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Government Postgraduate College for Women Attock, where speakers expressed unwavering solidarity with the armed forces and paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the country.

The chief guest on the occasion was former Federal minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, while the event was chaired by Hina Mansab Khan, chairperson of the SAARC Chamber and founding president of the Attock Women Chamber.

Among those present were former provincial minister Jahangir Khanzada, Malik Hameed Akbar, Malik Ansar, former president of Attock Chamber Tariq Mahmood, the principal of Government Postgraduate College for Women, and other political and social figures.

Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad highlighted the historical significance of the creation and defence of Pakistan. He said that from the migration of 1947 to the 1965 war and the present day, Pakistan’s armed forces had consistently defeated hostile designs.

He particularly praised the leadership of Asim Munir and the economic and diplomatic policies of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that Pakistan’s green passport was gaining respect internationally.

He added that the sacrifices of the armed forces ensured peace and security for the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Hina Mansab Khan said women constituted 52 per cent of Pakistan’s population and stood shoulder to shoulder with the country’s armed forces and leadership. She said hostile propaganda against Pakistan had been exposed globally and reiterated that the Pakistani nation would not be intimidated.

She also stressed the importance of women’s economic empowerment and their role in national development.

Event host and vice president of the Attock Women Chamber, Nabeela Shaheen, thanked the distinguished guests and said the ceremony had been organised with the cooperation of the deputy commissioner of Attock and the college administration to convey to students that women were prepared to contribute to the defence of the homeland at every front.

On the occasion, the services of Lady Health Supervisor Nazia Aziz and her team from the health department were also appreciated.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the country’s security, the success of the armed forces and the elevation of the ranks of martyrs. Participants praised the initiative of the Attock Women Chamber, calling it a timely and important effort.
