SP Traffic urges citizens to cooperate with traffic police for smooth traffic flow

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Superintendent Police (SP) Traffic President Quetta, Syed Asim Ali Shah, on Wednesday urged citizens to cooperate with traffic police for improvement of traffic in the provincial capital and to avoid violation of traffic law.

Talking to APP, he said that traffic flow was being affected due to ongoing construction work at various places in the city, however, the traffic police was performing its responsibilities day and night to provide maximum convenience to the citizens and ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic.

The SP Traffic President said that effective steps have also been taken to eliminate illegal encroachments at various places including Faizi Chowk, which were yielding positive results.

He said that the traffic police personnel were performing their duties with hard work, dedication and professional responsibility on all important highways, intersections and busy points so that the citizens face minimum difficulties.

Syed Asim Ali Shah appealed to the public to stay in their lane while driving, avoid one-way violations, do not overtake unnecessarily and follow the instructions of traffic officials completely.

He said that the cooperation of citizens was very important to maintain traffic flow and prevent accidents, adding, it was the responsibility of every citizen to follow traffic rules and compliance with the law was guarantee of safe travel.

He requested the citizens to show patience and play their role in improving the traffic system in the city by cooperating with the traffic police.
