SP Security holds Workshop at Police Headquarters to review security measures

On the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem and City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, SP Security Asghar Ali Goraya organized a security workshop at the Police Headquarters to review the current law and order situation and strengthen security arrangements

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) On the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem and City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, SP Security Asghar Ali Goraya organized a security workshop at the Police Headquarters to review the current law and order situation and strengthen security arrangements.

The workshop was attended by officers from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Elite Force, and other district police officials, including DSP-level officers. During the workshop, SP Security Asghar Ali Goraya issued instructions to ensure foolproof security measures in view of the prevailing security situation.

He directed that snap checking at all entry and exit points of the city be further strengthened.

He also said that joint special pickets have been established by Rawalpindi and Islamabad Police to enhance security coordination.

The SP Security further instructed that search, sweep, and combing operations should continue around sensitive locations. Strict security arrangements should also be ensured at Imambargahs, mosques, churches, and other important and sensitive places across the city.

He emphasized that the security of police stations and Police Lines Headquarters should be further improved, adding that anyone involved in law violations or mischievous activities would be dealt with an iron hand.
