RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad reviewed the performance of investigation officers and assess the progress of pending criminal cases across the Rawal Division in a meeting held at the Rawal Office here on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs) Moharrars and others relevant officials.
During the meeting, SP Saad Arshad individually reviewed the status of cases under investigation and issued directions to improve the pace and quality of investigations.
He instructed senior officers to ensure daily follow-up and close monitoring of murder and other heinous crime cases to expedite investigations and bring offenders to justice.
The SP also directed police officers to adopt a coordinated strategy against gangs involved in vehicle thefts.
He emphasized the continuation of an effective crackdown against violations of the Tenancy Act, kite flying, aerial firing, and the use of fireworks.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>SP Saad Arshad further ordered that all under-investigation cases be decided strictly on the basis of evidence and facts, while pending challans should be cleared without unnecessary delay.
He called for intensified operations against proclaimed offenders (POs) and those providing them shelter or assistance.
Officers were also instructed to include habitual offenders with previous criminal records in investigations related to robbery, dacoity, and theft, and to maintain strict surveillance over them.
Highlighting the importance of public service, the SP directed all police stations to address citizens' complaints on a priority basis.
He reiterated that maintaining law and order and ensuring the timely delivery of justice to the public remain the police's foremost responsibilities, adding that all available resources are being utilized in this regard.
