SP JPU Iqbal Khan reviews National Assembly security during budget session

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) SP Judicial Protection Unit (JPU) Iqbal Khan visited the National Assembly and reviewed security arrangements in place during the ongoing parliamentary budget session.

An official told APP on Friday that the SP Iqbal inspected various security points and assessed the deployment of police personnel assigned to ensure the safety and security of lawmakers, officials and visitors.

Iqbal met officers and personnel performing duties at the National Assembly and reviewed operational preparedness and implementation of security measures.

The SP briefed officers and jawans on their responsibilities and directed them to remain vigilant and perform their duties with professionalism, dedication and a high sense of responsibility.

He emphasized strict adherence to security protocols and instructed personnel to maintain a heightened level of alertness throughout the parliamentary session.

The official said Islamabad Police remained committed to ensuring foolproof security at important national institutions and taking all necessary measures to maintain a secure environment during parliamentary proceedings.

SP Iqbal also appreciated the professionalism of the deployed personnel and directed them to continue performing their duties with commitment and discipline, the official added.
