SP City visits Darya Khan bridge check post, reviews security arrangements

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmed, SP City Division Murtaza Khan Bangash paid a surprise visit to the strategically important inter-provincial Darya Khan Bridge check post and reviewed the security arrangements.

During the visit, the SP City met the check post in-charge Haibat Khan and received a detailed briefing on the vehicle checking procedure and other aspects of duty being performed at the checkpoint.

Murtaza Khan Bangash directed the police personnel deployed at the check post to remain vigilant while performing their duties.

He emphasized ensuring effective and comprehensive checking of vehicles and maintaining strict surveillance over suspicious vehicles, individuals and criminal elements.

The SP City also inspected the check post building, bunkers and other security arrangements. He issued necessary instructions to the relevant staff to further strengthen security and surveillance measures at the strategic point.

A police spokesman said that such visits were aimed at ensuring improved security arrangements and maintaining strict monitoring at important entry and exit points of the district.
