SP Cantt Kainat Azhar praises SOS Children's villages at Eid ceremony in Multan

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) Suprientendant of Police Cantonment and Acting Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar has said that she sees the future of the country in the orphaned and underprivileged children residing at SOS Children’s Villages, praising the institution for its nurturing environment and quality upbringing.

She expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized for the distribution of new branded Eid clothes among orphaned children, mothers, and staff at SOS. The event was arranged by noted social leader and Vice President of the Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Muhammad Azhar Baloch.

During her visit, SP Cantt Kainat Azhar met with young children at the facility and became emotional. She stated that after visiting the residential areas, recreational park, and other facilities at SOS, she was deeply impressed and moved by the environment provided to the children.

She encouraged the children to pursue higher education and work hard to secure a respected place in society. She particularly urged young girls to attain higher education and consider joining the police force, emphasizing that the department needs skilled, brave, and courageous women officers. She also expressed her satisfaction that the children at SOS live together like a family and are provided with a homely atmosphere.

She thanked Muhammad Azhar Baloch and the SOS administration for their continued efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Azhar Baloch said that for the past 25 years, he has been participating in Eid celebrations with SOS children and sharing in their happiness. He added that when the children wear new clothes on Eid, they remember his late parents, wife, and friends in their prayers. He vowed to continue supporting the children as their “uncle” for as long as he lives. He also thanked SP Cantt Kainat Azhar and the SOS staff for their cooperation.

Earlier, SOS Director Kamran Yousaf informed the audience that SOS has been serving for 50 years globally, while SOS Multan has been working for 25 years with a mission of care and service. He noted that many girls who once arrived as children are now serving as mothers and staff members at the institution. He added that the children are receiving quality education and this mission will continue.

Senior journalist and Member of the Executive Committee of Multan Press Club, Mazhar Javed Sial, performed the duties of stage secretary. At the conclusion of the ceremony, SP Cantt Kainat Azhar distributed Eid clothes among the children, mothers, and youth on behalf of Muhammad Azhar Baloch.
