Social workers termed valuable asset to nation

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Deputy Director (DD) Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif Ghumman has said that non-governmental welfare organisations and social workers are a valuable asset to the nation as they are playing a positive role in addressing public issues across various sectors of life.

He expressed these views during a ration distribution ceremony organized with the collaboration of the Social Welfare Department and various social organizations for underprivileged families under the Ramazan and Eid relief package.

Speaking on the occasion, DD Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif Ghumman said that welfare organizations are actively supporting and serving low-income households during the holy month of Ramazan by providing essential assistance and relief.

Assistant Directors Abrar Abdullah Sahi and Abu Sufian were also present at the event along with social leaders including Muhammad Ashfaq Nazar, Afifa Fatima, Chaudhry Muhammad Yousaf, Amir Javed, Muhammad Adeel, and Ashiq Hussain Toor, as well as representatives of several social organizations.

Chaudhry Sharif Ghumman emphasized that spreading happiness and easing the hardships of people is one of the best practice among people and highly pleasing to Allah Almighty.

He praised the dedication and commitment of social welfare organizations working to improve society, saying their efforts are commendable and appreciated not only by the department but by the entire community.
