NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The Department of Social Welfare and Child Protection Shaheed Benazirabad, in collaboration with Hari Welfare Association Nawabshah, organized an awareness seminar at Hari Model school, Afzal Shah Town, Nawabshah, to promote national unity, patriotism, counter-extremism, and child protection. Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, attended the seminar as chief guest. During the event, rich tributes were paid to the services and sacrifices rendered by the armed forces of Pakistan during “Marka-e-Haq / Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.” Addressing the seminar, Deputy Commissioner, Director Social Welfare Ghulam Muhammad Sahito, Presiden Hari Welfare Association Akram Khaskheli and other speakers said that promoting national unity, brotherhood, tolerance, and patriotism was extremely important in the current circumstances. They emphasized that such programs were the need of the hour to guide younger generation towards positive activities, education, awareness, and national service.

Speakers said that armed forces of Pakistan have always rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the country’s security, sovereignty, and protection of people, which were acknowledged and appreciated by entire nation. They said that negative propaganda spread by hostile elements could only be countered through unity, awareness, and national solidarity.

Participants of the seminar expressed their commitment to continue playing a positive role in promoting peace, tolerance, and harmony in society. Special prayers were also offered at the conclusion of seminar for the country’s security, progress, peace, and stability.

Among others, Additional Director Social Welfare Murtaza Gohar, Child Protection Officer Zulfiqar Rind, Manzoor Ahmed Mallah, Muslim Farooq and representatives from various social, educational, welfare, and government organizations attended the event.
