LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has stepped up measures to combat smog and sought fresh reports on environmental activities from schools across the province.
The concerned department has directed the CEOs of all districts to submit a complete report within two days. The authorities have sought details regarding Miyawaki forests, green patches, installation of grass and provision of dustbins in schools.
In addition, a full report on the installation of tough tiles in schools and the progress made on the Miyawaki Forest project has also been sought.
The department has directed that all data be sent via email so that higher authorities can be informed in a timely manner.
According to official sources, the aim of these measures is to ensure environmental improvement in educational institutions and formulate effective strategies to reduce the effects of smog.
