SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) Speakers at a World Youth Skills Day event held at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Campus, Sanghar, on Wednesday stressed the need for young people to acquire practical and digital skills alongside formal education to improve their employment prospects.
The awareness programme was organised by Explorer academy Sanghar under the supervision of its Principal, Nawaz Kanbhar.
Addressing the gathering, speakers said that academic qualifications alone were no longer sufficient in today's competitive job market and urged students to develop technical and entrepreneurial skills to secure dignified employment or establish their own businesses.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>They highlighted the growing importance of digital competencies, encouraging students to learn freelancing, graphic designing, digital marketing, web development, video editing, artificial intelligence (AI), and other online skills that could open employment opportunities both in Pakistan and abroad.
The participants were also urged to make effective use of modern technology, enhance their abilities and strive towards self-reliance.
Among those present were Assistant Commissioner Sanghar Shafiq Ahmed Arisar, Aijaz Ahmed Zardari, Arshad Baladi, Ameer Bux Burdi, members of the university staff, and a large number of students.
