BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) A six-year-old girl was killed and five members of her family were injured after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed during heavy rainfall near Mailsi, rescue officials said on Monday.

The incident occurred in Adda Hari Chand on Karam Pur Road, where the roof of the house suddenly gave way, trapping family members beneath the debris, according to Rescue 1122.

Rescue teams responded to the scene, pulled the victims from the rubble and provided first aid before transporting the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Mailsi for treatment.

Rescue officials said preliminary findings indicated that rainwater had accumulated on the aging girder-and-T-iron roof, causing it to collapse.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
