Six drug peddlers arrested

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) The district police have intensified operations against drug peddlers and illegal arms bearers, arresting six accused and recovering more than 1.5 kilograms of hashish, 10 litres of liquor and three pistols from their possession.

According to a police spokesperson, the crackdown was being carried out under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq.

In Kharian Circle, the team arrested two accused, Muhammad Saqib and Abdul Rehman and recovered 10 litres liquor and a 32-bore pistol from them.

In a separate operation in City Circle, SHO Civil Lines Zia-ur-Rehman Hashmi along with Incharge Jatoakal Police Post SI Kaleemullah arrested Yasir Shehzad and seized 580 grams of hashish.

Similarly, City Sara-e-Alamgir arrested an accused, Suleman, and recovered 1,350 grams of hashish from his possession.

Meanwhile, SHO Bolani Police Station arrested two accused, Ammar and Talha Razzaq, and recovered 30-bore pistols from them.

Separate cases were registered against the accused and further investigation was underway.
