Sindh Police terms viral transfer notification fake, warns of legal action

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) A notification circulating on social media regarding the posting and transfer of Sindh Police officers is fake and fabricated, a Sindh Police spokesperson said on Thursday.

The spokesperson clarified that no such order regarding the transfer of SSP Muhammad Azhar Khan Mughal has been issued by the Inspector General of Sindh Police.

The viral letter is an attempt to mislead and create confusion among the public and media, the spokesperson added.

The signatures and official seals on the notification are forged, and the police department has initiated an investigation into the matter, the spokesperson said.

Spokesperson warned that the Sindh Police reserves the right to take legal action against those involved in circulating fake official documents on social media.
