Sindh Minister takes notice of alleged abduction case in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Sindh Minister for Women Development Shahina Sher Ali has taken serious notice of a social media report regarding the alleged abduction of an 18-year-old girl and two minor girls from the Manghanhar community within the jurisdiction of Delbar Mehr Police Station in Sindhri taluka.

According to Deputy Director Women Development Mirpurkhas Division Tariq Waheed Baloch, the provincial minister has directed authorities to take strict legal action against the accused and ensure the safe and early recovery of the abducted girls.

Officials said that, as per initial reports, more than ten individuals from the Marri tribe are allegedly involved in the incident. A case has already been registered, while two main suspects have been arrested by law enforcement agencies.

Authorities further stated that on the minister’s instructions, the Women Development Department is maintaining close coordination with police and the affected families to provide legal and administrative support while efforts continue for the recovery of the missing girls in Mirpurkhas.
