Sindh Governor inaugurates NADRA Mega Centre in Surjani Town

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Monday inaugurated a NADRA Mega Center in Surjani Town.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, he said that establishment of the NADRA Mega Center in Surjani Town was an important step toward providing modern, fast and dignified public services.

The Governor after inaugurating the NADRA Mega Center visited its various sections.

The Governor met citizens present at the center and inquired about the identity document issuance process, the facilities being provided and the level of public satisfaction.

The Governor directed NADRA officials to ensure fast, transparent, dignified and uninterrupted services to citizens.

The Computerized National Identity Card was not merely a document but a symbol of every Pakistani's identity, rights and connection with the state, he said adding that a strong identity system is the foundation of a strong, secure and stable state.

Hashmi said that NADRA has brought recognition to Pakistan around the world through modern technology, a transparent system and professional services.

He also appreciated the services of officers and staff posted at the NADRA Mega Center.

Nehal Hashmi said that every citizen who visited deserves dignity, respect, timely guidance and the best possible service.

The Governor talking to media said that NADRA was a prestigious institution delivering services at people's doorsteps through modern technology.

NADRA's modern facilities were saving citizens valuable time and the institution's performance was commendable.

The Governor said that modern services such as the Pak ID mobile app and facial recognition were making public services more convenient.

Equipping our daughters and younger generation with modern technology was the guarantee of a brighter and stronger Pakistan, the Governor said adding that under the leadership of the government, the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, Pakistan was playing an effective role in promoting peace, stability and development not only within the country but across the region.
