Sindh Assembly Speaker Urges Unity and Tolerance on Ashura

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah, in his message to the nation on Youm-e-Ashura, said the day teaches patience, resilience, sacrifice, and standing firm for truth and justice.

He said the tragedy of Karbala is an eternal story of great sacrifice for humanity, justice, and principles.

The sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions are a beacon for the entire Muslim Ummah.

The Speaker added that on the occasion of Ashura, it is the collective responsibility of all citizens to promote peace, tolerance, brotherhood and inter-sectarian harmony.

He urged the public to avoid rumors, provocation, and hateful behavior, and to instead strengthen national unity.
