Shop sealed for illegal BISP deductions in Layyah

LAYYAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Authorities sealed a retail shop in Layyah for allegedly making illegal deductions from payments under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP),official sources said.

According to PERA Force sources,the action was taken against Qaisrani mobile shop located on Kutchery road after public complaints.

The retailer was allegedly charging women Rs.1000 for withdrawing their BISP assistance money.

Following the complaints,the PERA Force conducted a raid and sealed the shop.

However,the retailer managed to flee from the spot before being arrested,sources added.
