Sheikh Rashid’s appeal against travel restriction adjourned till Feb 26

Justice Jawad Ahsan of the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench on Thursday adjourned hearing of an appeal filed by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed against being stopped from travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah until February 26

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Justice Jawad Ahsan of the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench on Thursday adjourned hearing of an appeal filed by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed against being stopped from travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah until February 26.

The Awami Muslim League chief had sought early hearing of his petition challenging the travel restriction.

A government appeal in the matter has also been filed. During the hearing, Sheikh Rashid appeared before the court along with his counsel.

The court fixed February 26 for hearing of both appeals.
