Sheikh Aftab reviews prices at Nigehban Ramzan Bazaar, lauds relief measures in Attock

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Former Federal Minister and MNA Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Monday paid a detailed visit to the Nigehban Ramzan Sahulat Bazaar in Attock, where he thoroughly reviewed the prices and quality of essential commodities. During the visit, he interacted warmly with shoppers and vendors; moreover, he examined the official price lists displayed at various stalls. The initiative, launched under the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to provide significant relief to citizens during the holy month.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Aneel Saeed, former Municipal Chairman Nasir Mahmood Sheikh, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan, Incharge Ramzan Bazaar Mubashir Ali, and President Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Attock Sheikh Javed Iqbal, the former minister carefully inspected arrangements across the bazaar. He appreciated the systematic layout and transparent monitoring mechanism; furthermore, he noted that daily inspections by the district administration have ensured fair pricing and consistent availability of subsidized items.

Speaking to the media, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed described the Nigehban Ramzan Sahulat initiative as a commendable and timely step for public facilitation. He particularly praised Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza, ADCG Aneel Saeed, Assistant Commissioner Arif Qureshi and their dedicated team for organizing the bazaar in a spacious and attractive manner.

Consequently, he remarked that the overall environment closely resembled the well-managed Islamabad-style model, which reflects professional planning and efficient supervision.

Meanwhile, the former minister also lauded Incharge Mubashir and Hafeeza for promptly addressing public complaints and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order. He emphasized that such proactive and transparent measures not only strengthen public trust but also ensure that citizens can confidently purchase quality goods at reduced prices. Ultimately, he expressed hope that these progressive efforts would continue consistently, thereby providing meaningful relief to the people throughout Ramadan.
