Shehbaz Sharif felicitates Rob Jetten on becoming Dutch PM

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday congratulated Rob Jetten on assuming the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

"I extend my warm congratulations to Mr. Rob Jetten on assuming the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands," he wrote on his X timeline.

The prime minister, who is currently on a two-day visit to Qatar, wished Rob Jetten every success in his new responsibilities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that he looked forward to working together to further deepen the longstanding ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands.

The 38-year-old Rob Jetten, the youngest Dutch prime minister, claimed victory in October's election with his Democrats 66 party (D66) narrowly beating Geert Wilders.
