Shaheed Benazirabad Police places district on high security alert

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Shaheed Benazirabad Police have placed the district on high security alert on the instructions of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, with additional personnel deployed at mosques and other places of worship.

In view of the holy month of Ramazan and the blessed occasion of Friday prayers, SSP has ordered strict security arrangements across the district.

According to police spokesperson, the measures aim to ensure the protection of life and property of citizens and to maintain a peaceful environment. As per security plan, additional police personnel have been deployed at all major mosques, Imambargahs, and other places of worship in the district.

Special monitoring is being carried out during Friday prayers and Taraweeh congregations. Security has also been tightened at all entry and exit points of the district. Strict snap checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles is underway to prevent any untoward incidents.

Patrolling in commercial centers, markets, and densely populated areas has been further intensified with increased deployment of police mobiles and motorcycle squads. Plainclothes officers have also been assigned at sensitive locations to keep a close watch on any suspicious activity.

In his message, SSP Sameer Noor Channa said that safety of citizens is top priority of police. All SHOs have been directed to remain present in the field and ensure that no negligence occurs in security duties. SSP urged public to remain vigilant and immediately inform police of any suspicious activity.

The police administration has appealed citizens to cooperate fully with security personnel to help maintain law and order so that all religious obligations during Ramazan can be performed peacefully.
