SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2026) The Police on Saturday successfully tracked down the parents of a four-year-old lost girl and reunited her with her family following a swift search operation.
According to a press release issued by DPO office, the minor girl, identified as Nida Zahra, was found abandoned within the jurisdiction of Shah Nikdar police station, and she was unable to provide any details regarding her identity or home address due to her tender age.
Taking prompt action on the matter, Station House Officer (SHO) Waseem Abbas constituted a special police team to locate the guardians through extensive field inquiries in the surrounding areas.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The police team successfully identified the parents after a successful trace and handed the child over to them following legal formalities.
The District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha, Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, while commenting on the incident, stated that children are the future of the nation and their protection and upbringing remain the Primary responsibility of parents. He urged the public to ensure the safety of their children at all costs and cautioned against leaving minors alone in public places or with unknown persons.
The DPO further advised parents to make their children memorize home addresses and contact numbers to avoid such distress in case of any emergency.
