Shafqat Shah Expresses Deep Grief Over Iranian Supreme Leader’s Martyrdom

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) Prominent Political and social Leader Advocate Syed Shafqat Ali Shah expressed profound sorrow over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, stating that the people of Sindh share equally in this grief with Iran and all mourners.

In his statement on Sunday, he also condemned the tragic incident at the US Consulate, which resulted in loss of human lives, and called for an impartial investigation. He noted that the country is currently facing a war like situation, making any disruption of peace inappropriate.

He urged the religious leaders, including Allama Shahenshah Naqvi and others to help keep public emotions under control.

He advised the Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah and Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh to provide full security for the planned religious gathering at the exhibition and requested all scholars and community leaders to guide people toward maintaining peace and order.

He said that the Sindh Government should ensure public safety and maintain law and order at all costs. He added that protecting citizens’ lives and property should be the government’s top priority.
