Several illegal structures demolished in anti-encroachment drive

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The district administration has intensified its efforts against encroachments by carrying out a large-scale operation inside Kineara Wala Gate, demolishing multiple illegal structures.

According to the administration, the operation was conducted on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan, with the participation of police, TMA, and revenue staff.

It says that prior to the operation, the site was formally identified and occupants were issued seven-day notices.

Legal action was taken after failure to comply within the stipulated period.

During the operation, a total of three shops, one room, two garages/stores, one washroom, and three partially constructed structures were removed. Officials added that these constructions were partly built on government land and partly over open drains, obstructing the drainage system.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to eliminating encroachments and restoring public facilities, adding that such operations will continue in the future.
