Seven-member gang held in Rajanpur

RAJANPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Police in Jampur arrested a seven-member gang involved in theft, robbery, highway robbery and cattle lifting, officials said on Monday.

DSP Circle Jampur Chaudhry Abdul Kareem, while addressing a press conference, said the suspects were nominated in more than 25 criminal cases.

The arrested accused were identified as Akhtar Gopang, Abdul Hakeem Kaheri, Ansar Gopang, Saleem Ahmedani, Ejaz Sial, Saleem Gopang, and Suleman Lakha.

Police also recovered cattle, solar plates, water pumps, cash and other valuables from their possession.

The recovered items were returned to their rightful owners.

The DSP appreciated the performance of SHO Police Station Sadar Jampur Naveed Aftab Khan and his team and announced CC-III certificates on behalf of the DPO Rajanpur.

He said police were committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and eliminating crime from the area.

SHO Naveed Aftab Khan, Sub-Inspector Shahid Rasool Khan, ASI Siddiq Khan Badru, ASI Saifullah Khan Dhandla, Moharrar Malik Irfan Ashiq Babbar, Aoun Abbas Khan, and others were also present on the occasion.
