Senator Mehdi pays tribute to Armed Forces for successful execution operation "Ghazab-lil-Haq"

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Pakistan People's Party Senator Waqar Mehdi, paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Army for the successful execution of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, praising the armed forces for what he termed a courageous and befitting response to unprovoked actions by the Taliban regime.

In his statement, Senator Mehdi said the Pakistan Army’s decisive action has sent a clear and unequivocal message that Pakistan will not tolerate any aggression or hostile designs against its sovereignty.

He described the response as a strong reflection of the nation’s unwavering resolve to defend its independence and ensure the protection of its citizens.

Senator Mehdi said that the statement issued by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in support of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq truly represents the aspirations of the nation. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Peoples Party stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the defense of the country’s territorial integrity and borders.

He emphasized that Pakistan is a peace-loving country; however, any attempt to challenge its sovereignty or commit aggression would be met with a united and forceful response. He urged the Taliban regime to act with prudence and avoid further destabilizing the region.

The senator also stated that instead of pursuing confrontation and subversive activities at the behest of India, Afghan authorities should adopt a path of peaceful coexistence.

Referring to last May’s developments, Senator Mehdi said the brave armed forces of Pakistan had already demonstrated their courage and professional excellence against India, adding that India continues to mourn what he described as a humiliating defeat at the hands of Pakistan’s forces.
