Senate budget session commences

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) The Senate on Friday commenced its budget session at 6:48 p.m. with Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani in the chair.

The agenda item included laying of a copy of the Finance Bill, 2026 before the House by Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The bill contains the government's proposed taxation, revenue and fiscal measures for the upcoming financial year and forms part of the Federal budget framework for 2026-27.
