Seminar, mushaira on ‘Maarka-e-Haq, operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ held in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Department of Libraries, Islamabad on Wednesday organized a dignified seminar and mushaira titled “Maarka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” at the Islamabad Public library, bringing together prominent figures from literary, academic and social circles.

The event commenced with an inaugural session in which Director General Department of Libraries Muhammad Arshad highlighted the role of libraries in promoting knowledge and literature and stressed the importance of such intellectual and literary activities in society.

Retired Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Pakistan Air Force, Ghulam Abbas, delivered an insightful address on “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” which was highly appreciated by the participants.

The second session featured a grand mushaira presided over by noted urdu poet Khizar Saleem, who is also serving as Secretary at the Attorney General’s Office.

Secretary Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Zauq Rawalpindi Waqas Aziz also participated in the event. Besides being a distinguished poet, he is serving on an important government position, while his book “Kitab-e-Dard-e-Pinhan” has received appreciation in literary circles.

Renowned poets from across the country, including Dr Kashif Irfan, Nasir Abbas Chaudhry, Rukhsana Sehar, Nazar Hussain Naaz, Dr Rubab Tabassum, Sadaqat Tahir, Shehlan Naseeb, Dr Faisal Shahzad, Aamir Dhuddy, Ali Niaz and Qasim Mehar, presented their selected poetry and received warm applause from the audience.

The participants termed the event a successful and meaningful literary activity aimed at promoting intellectual and literary values in society.

The organizers said that such events would continue in future as well to further strengthen the culture of knowledge and literature in the society.
