Security tightened in Shaheed Benazirabad on occasion of Youm-e-Ali

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Security has been beefed up across the District on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali; while large-scale search and combing operations are underway on the special instructions of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa. The initiative was taken to maintain law and order and to prevent any untoward incidents on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (RA). A heavy contingent of district police carried out search operations in various sensitive areas, densely populated localities, and suspected hideouts to ensure the safety of citizens and to avert any potential security threats.

On the other hand on the directions of SSP, strict checking of records of individuals staying in hotels, guest houses, and restaurants across the district is also being conducted.

Additional police personnel have been deployed at all entry and exit points of the district, and snap checking has been intensified. Every vehicle and suspicious individual is being thoroughly checked.

Foolproof security arrangements have also been made for the main processions and religious gatherings held on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali. SSP Sameer Noor Channa is personally monitoring the security measures. He said that safety of citizens is top priority. He said that no miscreant would be allowed to disturb the peace of the district. He also appealed public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and immediately report any suspicious activity to police.
