RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Anum Sher conducted a late-night visit to various security pickets and a madrasa in the Gujar Khan circle to review security arrangements in view of the prevailing national situation, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
During the visit, the SP inspected duty at Mandrah Toll Plaza, Sukho pickets and a Darul Uloom seminary. ASP Gujar Khan and SHO Mandrah accompanied her.
She checked the deployment of personnel and issued necessary instructions to ensure effective security at special pickets and religious places. The SP directed the ASP Gujar Khan to regularly check and brief personnel deployed at special pickets and places of worship.
She said officers and officials posted at pickets, mosques, seminaries and imambargahs would remain alert while performing their duties, given the sensitivity of the situation.
The SP instructed that no inappropriate behaviour with the public would be tolerated, adding that courteous conduct reflected professional standards. She further directed that officers and personnel assigned security duty during Ramazan should report at their respective points in time, particularly during prayer hours.
She ordered that individuals arriving for worship be allowed entry to mosques and imambargahs only after complete body searching. mobile and Muhafiz patrols around mosques and imambargahs should be made more effective during prayers, she added.
“Protection of citizens is our top priority. Negligence in security duty will not be tolerated,” SP Saddar Anum Sher said.
Directions were issued to ensure strict vigilance and improved coordination at sensitive locations across the district.
